One of the first scholarly examinations of machinima

A must-read for any theorist of machinima. Brilliant essays by leading scholars in a brand new field (such as Friedrich Kirschner, Jeffrey Bardzel, Henry Lowood and Matt Kelland), and blessedly NOT a how-to book on making machinima. This will be a landmark book in the history of a rapidly developing film art.
