This is an excellent textbook concerning the conductive, mechanical treatments of hearing loss. Cartilagenous, bony, and plastics transplants to the middle ear are explored in depth. This is an outstanding reference for audiologists, ENT surgeons, students, fellows, and hearing researchers at all levels. The ONEX system is described. Intraoperative microsurgical images/photographs, line drawings, and illustrations complement this book well. Noncochlear vs. cochlear implantations are compared and contrasted in terms of neurophysiology and auditory function.
